Supermodel, Jessica White recently has signed on with L’Oréal-owned beauty brand Maybelline New York to become its new face. Do you remember Jessica’s groundbreaking event? She was the first African American model to appear in a swimsuit issue of US men’s magazine Sports Illustrated. Starting next February, this dark-complexioned beauty will launch her Maybelline debut in global print and television ad campaigns.

Jessica was born in 1984 in Buffalo, New York and started her career early, landing contracts with CoverGirl, Chloé, and Gap. Tyra Banks called her “the model of her generation. She is the only the only African-american model to have ever had two make-up contracts in her careerShe later walked the runways for New York’s top designers including Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, and Tommy Hilfiger.  She has also been one of the models for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show catwalk since 2006.
