Mascara Works Wonders

mascaraworkswonders.JPGPutting mascara on can bring out your eyes much more than just eyeliner and eye shadow, and it comes in a variety of different colors. I personally love to wear black mascara, because it makes my eyelashes look much longer and more defined. Other colors of mascara also work great, such as light brown or even clear. These colors work best when you are going for a more natural look, because they lengthen and soften the lashes, but don’t add much color. When you apply your mascara, it is best to make sure you are in a steady position. The car is not a place to put your mascara on, and either is a bus or any other type of moving vehicle. You can poke your eye and scratch your cornea, or even just smear makeup across your face. Trust me, mascara is hard to get off your face! You should be in front of a mirror, and be able to rest your application arm on a flat surface.

Make Your Eyes Look Smokey

make-your-eyes-look-smokey.JPGMaking your eyes look smokey is not a hard look to achieve, as long as you are using the right color eye shadow, mascara, and eyeliner. You must use dark and neutral colors, like dark grays or blacks. If you are looking for a smokey look to match a certain outfit, you can even add in shades of different colors to add to the look. Dark blues, greens, and even purples look great, and make the smokey eye shadow look even better. You should first outline your eyes with black eyeliner, on both the top and bottom of your eyes. You can just follow your natural eyelid contour, but your eyes will still stand out and look great. Then smudge the liner to make it look smooth, and you can just use your finger or a cotton swab. Then apply dark eye shadow over the smudged eyeliner, since this will bring the liner out more and make it look softer.

Use Blush To Change The Shape Of Your Face

use-blush-to-change-the-shape-of-your-face.JPGBelieve it or not, you can actually change the shape of your face just by how you apply your brush. I have a somewhat round face, so I actually use my blush to make it look slimmer, and it even still brings out my cheekbones. If I am going for a rounder look, I can even use my eye shadow to shape my face the way I want it. All it takes is a little technique in the brush. If you are looking to thin out your face, you need to make sure you apply your blush in the right place. To find this place out, suck in your cheek so you look like a fish. Then apply your blush to the sucked in part, but make sure you are brushing back and forth along your cheeks. Lighter blushes work better than darker ones for thinning out the face, because they make it look naturally beautiful.

Neutralizing Your Red Complexion

neutralizing-your-red-complexion.JPGHaving redness on your face can sometimes be pretty embarrassing, but it doesn’t have to be the end of the world. Because I have fair skin, my cheeks are constantly red and flushed for no reason at all. Because of this, I use a cover up that has a green tint to it.

I know this may sound crazy, but it really does work. The green in your cover up can actually hide redness that is caused by a number of different things, including rosacea, dry skin, or even just pale skin.

Makeup Tips For Everyday Wear

makeuptipsforeverydaywear.JPGI love wearing makeup everyday, but it can sometimes be hard to come up with new ideas to match new looks. I came up with some great tips that can help you to keeping your makeup and wardrobe looking good all year long.It is important to always coordinate your makeup with your outfit. This does not require you purchase a lot of makeup, since you can purchase makeup compacts and kits that contain a wide variety of colors. Match you clothes with different tones of makeup, such as a green eye shadow with a green shirt. Even if you are not into different color eye shadows, this will bring out both your eyes and your entire look.Your lips can also match your wardrobe, but does not have to be the same color. When you are wearing bolder colors like red, you can intensify your lips by using a lipstick. For softer tones such as pink or yellow, go for a more natural look by using lip-gloss or liner over your entire lips.
