There are so many women getting permanent makeup in today’s society. So, what is it and how does it work? Permanent makeup is not really even makeup. It’s simply a tattoo on your skin that is meant resemble makeup. One of the perks of normal makeup is its ability to be removed. The possibilities are infinite with a blank canvas and the numerous types of looks you can create. Lucky for us, regular makeup is not permanent. If it were, we wouldn’t be as willing to try different looks and seasonal trends. We would not even dare to look at that hot pink eyeshadow if there was even a remote chance that it wasn’t removable.
For those ladies who need reconstruction after mastectomy surgery to repair your facial features, or to minimize the appearance of scars and/or burns, permanent makeup might be a great solution. It is also beneficial for those who have a disorder such as Alopecia and need eyebrows from the loss of facial hair. Always remember that this procedure should be conducted by a licensed permanent cosmetics tech, as should any cosmetic procedure. Insist that you see pictures of procedures they’ve performed prior to your own, and know that even though it is said to be a permanent procedure, fading occurs in most cases and retouches will be needed over time in order to maintain the look, as with any tattoo. So, is permanent makeup right for you? Weigh the pros and cons and decide for yourself!
