She has a natural radiance that she accentuated with neutral shades of makeup for her eyes and lips — so sheer it’s almost transparent. In her makeup bag for quick touch ups she always carries lip gloss, perfume, mascara, moisturizer and bronzer. Moisturizer is extremely important to her and she would never be caught without it.

“When it comes to lips, think big! Our customers wanted more ways to plump, so we have taken our beloved Goldie Lip Plump formula and added color. One to try: Lip Plump in Fiddle (a rose pink).

Wear shimmer all the time - day or night. It instantly makes you appear younger and more rested. To make it even easier for you to apply shimmer, Goldie is introducing Shimmer Powder Puffs. Each small, plastic jar contains loose shimmer powder that can be applied with the powder puff that is attached to the lid.

Nail Polish Art

nail_polish_art.jpgPainting the nails with intricate designs dates as far back as 3000 B.C.  The very first actual nail polish was actually invented in China during this period in history. A lot of strange elements went into the original paints for nails, including gum Arabic, gelatin and bees wax. As science advanced in the production of nail laquers, the quality increased, providing a more refined finish and exquisite colors.

Nail art has become one of the most popular ways to make a fashion statement. It requires skill and creativity as does any other art form. Talented nail polish artists can create designs that are impressive beyond measure. Beautiful nails have come to symbolize a woman’s care for her finished appearance and the reflection of her personality.

Concealers are the Answer

makeup_bobbi_brown_concealer.jpgConcealers are fabulous. What can you do to cover up your imperfections and show your flawless best? Simply put, to emanate the radiant face, one must cover up its flaws. Concealers even out the skin tone and create a beautiful beginning. Concealers harmonize with all skin tones. It should be light, water resistant, texture free, and fragrance free. It will pretty much be invisible. It will lighten darker areas and darken lighter areas, as well as enhance areas that have blemishes, marks, freckles, etc.

Concealers are designed to enhance and blend. Use a concealer one shade lighter than your preferred foundation. In a dire case, go with two shades darker. Apply with a fine brush, and integrate with the face. Finish off with a diaphanous powder in order to deter creasing. Now you are ready to face the world.

It’s Time to Blush

face_blush_makeup.jpgGoing for that healthy glow? You want to use blush to warm up your look. It is not necessary, but it does soften the features of your beautiful face. It promotes vitality in a glowing way.   No matter what look you go for, consider your skin tone when deciding on a color. A great way to decide which color suits best is to pinch your cheeks. This is your natural color.

Smile to find the apples of your cheeks. Take your fluffy brush and make circular motions from your apples out and blend. Go easy on the color, light is usually better. One of the preferred looks is the snow bunny. Apply translucent loose powder for a matte finish. Then apply a rosy color to the cheeks. Complete the look with pink on the lips. You just came in out of the snow. Another preferred look is the California girl. You look great with tanned skin. Apply bronze just under the cheek bones in a circular pattern. The color should be one shade darker than your natural tone. Don’t forget your forehead, nose and chin for the complete look. Your mood will decide which look you are going for. Either way, you will look fabulous.

Bronzed to Perfection

Mineral BronzersHaving trouble getting time to go outside and lounge by the pool for the perfect tan? You don’t have time to lie around. Oh, and it is winter outside. You may not want to expose yourself to UV rays from a tanning bed that cause wrinkles either. You have a perfect solution in a bottle.

Experts suggest that you exfoliate in the shower, especially areas where the skin is rough. Dry off really well, you do not want to be uneven. Put on your self-tanner in a room that is not humid. A steamy bathroom can easily cause streaking. When applying tanner, the spaces between your fingers can cause streaking. Avoid this by using latex gloves. Be aware of the time, each tanning product recommends specific tanning time. When the time is up, get dressed. It is preferable to moisturize dry skin. This will help to blend uneven spots.

Even in the bleakest part of winter, you can have a healthy tropical glow. People will say you look great and ask you where you went on vacation. You will know better

Sexy Sultry Lips

Kate Winslet LipglossVoluptuous lips are in. A few years back there a rumor that Angelina Jolie had surgery to enhance her plump full lips. The arrival of her daughter, Shiloh, squelched that gossip. Shiloh has them too. Their lips are natural; unfortunately, most of us have to work a little more. Here are some tips to help you fashion your own enchanting lips:

Exfoliate your kisser. Once a week cover your lips with some Vaseline. Let it soak in for five minutes. Wet your toothbrush with warm water and lightly brush your lips. They will tingle. Smooth on lipstick and THEN apply lip liner. It will bring out the fullness of your lips.

Be a Powder Puff Buff

Face Powder MakeupYour makeup powder’s middle name is versatility. It eliminates shine from the face. It evens out the finish of all of the other elements of your facial makeup, eye, cheek, and lips. And it holds it all together. It is great for skin tone. It can’t be beat for touch up and extending the look of the face. Photographers love this stuff, is it any wonder? It gives a natural, even toned look to faces in any kind of lighting. It emphasizes extraordinary features and diminishes unsightly ones. Oh yes, the benefits are many.

Savvy women like to touch up with loose powder in the middle of the day. Experts advise using a whisper light dusting over the entire face to even it out. Use a large, rounded, feathery makeup brush rather than a sponge. A sponge will put too much powder on the face. Brushes tone the face evenly and look natural, unpretentious. Touch the fat part of the brush to the powder, lift, and knock off the excess powder. For women on the move, a pressed compact will do wonders. Use with a cosmetic puff and apply the shiny areas.

Succulent Winter Lips

Beautiful LipstickLike a succulent strawberry, your lips must be equally delectable. For all of you divas out there, it is important to keep your lips kissably moist. Here’s quick tip. Put your favorite lip gloss into the refrigerator. This makes the flavor refreshing and brings out the fullness of the flavor. Remember to use your lip balm often for scrumptious lips…

Take a lip liner pencil; follow the outer boundary of your ambrosial lips. Apply with even pressure and gently color the fullness of your lips. Now fill in with your favorite lip stick. For the piece-de-resistance, finish off with shiny lip gloss. Your lips will look glorious.

Tip.  The winter is a rough time on the lips. The extreme temperatures wreak havoc on our beautiful lips. One way to deal with is the obvious, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Lip balm rules. Apply often. Purchase your lip balm with a SPF factor to screen out harmful ultraviolet rays. Don’t lick or bite your lips, the skin will never heal. For aching lips, gently apply warm sesame oil. It will cool the burn and moisturize as well.
