The Many Benefits of Green Tea

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Green tea is mostly know as a healthy drink or a good alternative to coffee.  Its good for other things also, like your skin!

By drinking green tea, you are fighting against the free radicals in your body. Free radicals occur naturally through the process of metabolism, infections, and certain chemicals. These oxygen radicals can eventually cause damage to your cells, proteins, and DNA in your body which are very important elements to help keep you beautiful and healthy.

Countless nutrients are of paramount importance in protecting against and repairing damage from free radicals including both vitamins C and E and carotene.

Makeup is something most women use on a daily basis.  This industry is so expansive and there more products than you can count making it too much sometimes.  But how do you know which products are as good as people say and worth the money? How do you know what product is the best for you?Forgetting the advertisements you see all over  TV and plastered in every magazine is  an important factor in choosing makeup. Just because a particular product is well advertised doesn’t make it good and worth the high dollar price you are paying for it. More often than not, a cheaper product will yield the same, if not better results.

Bobbi Brown is a professional makeup artist with her own line of cosmetics products. About her life in makeup, Bobbi says ” I wanted to look like Cheryl Tiegs when I was 13 years old. She was thin, blue-eyed, and blonde - the epitome of beauty in the late ’60s. I couldn’t have looked any more different - and I spent a lot of time feeling bad about what I wasn’t. Then I saw Ali MacGraw in “Love Story” and I finally saw the possibility of my own beauty. This epiphany impacted how I viewed myself, how I saw other women and it ultimately led me to my career as a makeup artist.”

His pioneering spirit continued, as he became one of the first in Europe to ban cosmetic testing on animals.”

Like so many other retro trends, 50’s style makeup is becoming fashionable again. As is the case with other 50’s fashion trends such as full-skirted dresses and cat-eye glasses, 50’s is also finding an increasing number of interested experimenters. By going in for 50’s style makeup, you can now look gorgeous and classic as well as making a unique statement about your style and who you are.

The advent of color motion pictures was responsible for the boom in 1950’s makeup to begin with. Suddenly people began to see their favorite celebs with perfect faces in full fabulous color and wanted to mimic their look. ‘Pancake’ was an invention of this particular era and was used by movie stars to hide certain flaws on their faces. Suddenly women in every city wanted beautiful red lips, neutral toned eyelids and flushed cheeks.
