With the wide variety of make up available, it may seem like the more you put on your face, the better you look. This is completely untrue, and it is very possible to look great with only mascara. The purpose of make up is to bring out certain facial features, but trying to bring them all out is overpowering.

I personally have thin lips, so I like to throw on a lip-gloss with a slight color to it, since it makes my lips look full and plump. Mascara or eyeliner works great for people with lighter eyes, since it draws the attention in and makes someone notice your beautiful eyes. You may want to put on a little eye shadow if your eyes are larger, since this will make them look pretty and feminine.

I personally think blush is unnecessary, but it works for some people. You can use blush to accent your check bones, but I really don’t have this problem. Blush should be applied lightly though, because it can sometimes have a strong hue and just look frightening.

Just a few strokes of a pencil or brush can accent your face and make you look beautiful, and can be done in only a few minutes. By only applying a small amount, you can be secure about looking great, but not having to cover yourself in a pound of make up.
