Eyeliners that Get Past the Mummies
Eyeliner’s have been around since the Queen of the Nile, Cleopatra, first lured Mark Anthony to her bed with her seductive almond shaped eyes. Kohl was the eyeliner of choice in the time of the Pharos. All the royals were wearing it even the Kings.
No self respecting Prince of Egypt stepped outside his Pyramid without a smidgen of Kohl around his princely eyes. Since then we have become a little more advanced. Eyeliner now comes in a wide range of colors: it comes in crayon, liquid and even powder. We have colors even Cleo’s Mummy never told her about.
When you are using pencil eyeliner it is best to warm the tip first. This makes it softer and easier to apply; you can just blast it with your trusty hairdryer for a minute.
Pencils and powders give a softer more Smokey look to the eyes, and liquid eyeliner gives a cleaner more defined look. Always make sure you compliment your eye shadow with the liner that you choose.
Browns look good on blue eye’s, bronzes and greens on green eye’s, while Charcoals and navy’s on look best on darker eyes. But it is always fun to experiment and find the best look for you.
For evening there are exiting glitter eyeliners that would have Cleopatra spinning in her Sarcophagus. So define and embellish your windows of the soul, dimmensionalize those baby blues, and bring your Mark Anthony to his knees with that wicked tool from makeup world - the Eyeliner.
