How To Apply Blush
Putting on blush can be a somewhat difficult task, unless you know how to do it properly. Blush should be used to bring out certain parts of your face and cheeks, but should never be put on to dark because it can overpower the face. Blush should look soft and natural, rather than like you drew to pink circles on your face.
Before you apply your blush, make sure you tap your brush so the excess make up will fall off the brush. Excess blush can make your face look uneven, so you want to avoid putting too much on. Then apply the blush to the apple of your cheek, which is the area you want to bring attention to. Then use the brush to blend the make up toward your hairline, in an upward diagonal direction.
When using two shades, make sure the darker color is applied first. When you put the lighter color on top, make sure you use your brush to blend them together. Because blush power is very fine, it is easy to blend to eliminate any lines.
Once you have highlighted your cheeks, use the same color to accent your chin and forehead. This will make the color of your face look even and give it a natural glow. Make sure it blends in well with your foundation, because unblended make up can add years to your face.
Use blush only to accent certain features of your face, rather than to try and change your skin tone. Use lighter colors for during the day, and darker hues for night. No matter what your skin tone is, you can use blush to bring out your cheekbones, and to give yourself a flawless look.
