Improve Your Complexion

I get asked all the time how I keep my complexion and my skin looking so great.  The truth is I wasn’t born with it.  It takes work.  Here are a few tips I’ve been using for a few years and they have yet to fail me.

  1. Keep yourself hydrated.  Eight glasses of water a day!
  2. Use a face mask with either cucumber juice, lemon juice or rose water.  All three works best.
  3. Put some unflavored plain and simple yogurt on your face and leave it for a few minutes.
  4. Use a moisturizer with an SPF in it.  Sun wreaks havoc on your skin.
  5. Consistently use coconut milk on your face. 
  6. To lighten skin on your elbows and knees, add a little lime juice and leave it there for about twenty minutes.
  7. Sleeping in makeup is a NO NO.
  8. Put the peel of an orange on you skin and leave it for about thirty minutes.
  9. Put some papaya pulp on your skin to help get rid of those ugly whiteheads.
  10. Mix equal parts baking soda and water and massage into your skin for three minutes to loosen up blackheads.
  11. Every night I rinse my makeup off with my makeup remover with WARM water.  The warm water opens your pores to maximize the effect of the cleanser.  Then I use Sea Breeze astringent to remove any residue.  Then I splash my face with cold water to close my pores.
  12. Don’t smoke and try to avoid being around it.
  13. Eat vitamin rich food.

I, like most women, was not blessed with beautiful and perfect skin.  I do take really good care of it though and that’s why my skin glows.  Hopefully some of these tips will help many of you out as well!
