Make Your Eyes Look Smokey

make-your-eyes-look-smokey.JPGMaking your eyes look smokey is not a hard look to achieve, as long as you are using the right color eye shadow, mascara, and eyeliner. You must use dark and neutral colors, like dark grays or blacks. If you are looking for a smokey look to match a certain outfit, you can even add in shades of different colors to add to the look. Dark blues, greens, and even purples look great, and make the smokey eye shadow look even better. You should first outline your eyes with black eyeliner, on both the top and bottom of your eyes. You can just follow your natural eyelid contour, but your eyes will still stand out and look great. Then smudge the liner to make it look smooth, and you can just use your finger or a cotton swab. Then apply dark eye shadow over the smudged eyeliner, since this will bring the liner out more and make it look softer.

Before applying your eye shadow, you can choose to apply loose powder on top of foundation under your eyes. This will catch any loose eye shadow, and allow you to brush it off so you don’t look like a raccoon. Once you outlined the eyeliner, apply your eye shadow on your entire eyelid. You should choose a color that complements the dark black, such as a charcoal or brown.

You can use dark black mascara on your eyelashes, and then add some great lipstick and blush to complete the look. Making your eyes look smokey works great for a night look, since it can make your eyes stand out even in a dark nightclub. You can match this look to almost any outfit, and keep your eyes looking great all day and night.
