More Homemade Facials
Some are probably tired of seeing recipes for homemade facials, but I’m very fond of them. They are wonderful for women on a budget who still want to be pampered. Plus, sometimes home remedies are the best. Here are a few more great facials.
Simply crack an egg and separate the yolk from the white. Beat the white until its frothy and then smear on your face. Leave on for fifteen minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. This tones and tightens your skin while leaving it feeling nice and smooth.
Here’s one with avocado. You’re going to need:
- 2 oz. ripe avocado flesh
- 1 oz. orange juice
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp molasses
- 5 drops chamomile oil
Throw all of your ingredients in a blender and add more juice if the mixture is too thick. Spread this on your face and leave for at least thirty minutes. It never hurts to leave it on longer if you prefer. Rinse off with warm water and a wash cloth to exfoliate as you remove your mask. The best part is that if you don’t use it all, it will keep in your fridge for a day or two! Use it again.
Another simple one involves only apricots and olive oil. Mash as much together as you’d like until it forms a paste and rub it on your face. Leave on for ten minutes and rinse with warm water.
Then there’s apples and honey for the ladies with oily skin. Grate an entire apple very finely and add maybe three or four tablespoons of honey. Mix well and apply to your face. Leave on for ten minutes and rinse with warm H2O.Another thing that’s great for oily skin is tomato. Mash up one ripe tomato and put it on your face for fifteen minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Then there’s sensitive skin. Using a double boiler, heat a small pot of honey. Test it on the back of your hand to ensure that it isn’t too hot. Then apply the warm honey to your face generously and leave it for fifteen minutes. Rinse with warm water then with some cool water.
Want to get rid of those ugly blackheads? Combine equal parts water and baking soda. Then massage into your face for three minutes and rinse with warm water.
Use a banana to firm your skin! Mash up one very ripe banana and add just enough honey to create a pulp. Apply it to your face and leave it on for twenty minutes. Rinse with warm water. This works so well that some aging stars have put it on their breasts to make them more firm and to lift them!
I hope I covered everybody! These facial masks are great and they’re very inexpensive. Go on ladies. We all deserve to be pampered every once in awhile.
