No Sun Sin
Many women think, “Hey! It’s summer! I don’t need any makeup, I can be makeup free for three whole months, right?”
Wrong. Nothing could be further from makeup truth. More than ever that precious gift from God, your skin, must be protected at all costs. Many things can cause damage to the skin, and over sinning yourself or should I say over sunning yourself is up there in the top three.
Here are some summer no, no’s. Don’t tan without a sunscreen of 35 to 50 SPF depending on your skin type. Always use a foundation with a 15 SPF at least and always have lip balm, lipgloss or lipstick to protect your lips. It is preferable to use a skin bronzer and spend less time toasting yourself to a crisp in the afternoon sun. Your skin will thank you when you get into your thirty’s and above.
Drink lots of water to keep your skin well hydrated, and wear a wide brimmed sun hat, there are lots of fun ones out there. Create the illusion of no makeup, of a soft natural look, but don’t give up your make up for the summer, that’s a big no! So get out there and create some heat and have a hot and sizzling summer.
