Winterize Your Skin

Winter is almost here and we all know what that means-itchy and dry skin.  The reason your skin gets dry and itchy during the colder seasons is because the oil glands below the skin are less active and do not provide as much moisture as usual.  Dry skin is responsible for various things such as eczema, chapping, scaling, and even the dreaded wrinkles.  There are a few things you can do to prevent this.  Rub Vaseline into your skin every night before bed and massage a moisturizer into your skin after a warm bath when your pores are more open.  DO NOT USE SOAP ON YOUR FACE! It takes away the little moisture your skin produces.  The foods you eat can also help.  Eat vitamin rich foods like dry fruits and nuts.  Also, use a foundation with a moisturizer in it.  These tips should help keep the moisture in your skin.  This way you have summer skin year round!
